The first module of the course reviews the materials used in bag construction, types of fabrics, and some limitations of the fabrics. The module also covers different webbings, threads, and hardware.

Joining Methods

The joining method encompasses various types of stitches, seams, and hems, while the module addresses the applications and limitations of each. Additionally, the module briefly discusses different stitching methods used in webbing.

Evaluating Designs

In this section, a video is presented that examines multiple backpacks and laptop bags. Utilizing the information provided in the previous elements, the design is evaluated by looking at how the fabric panels are constructed, the seams used, and the possible order of operations in the fabrication process.
